Rotorua is a special place to visit. An area of intense volcanic activity, it has rightly earned it's alternative name of 'The Sulphur City' with impressive examples of bubbling mud pools, exploding geysers and evidence of geothermal activity practically everywhere you look. But Rotorua is not only known for what lies below. Rotorua has some of the richest Maori culture in New Zealand and a great place to experience a Maori concert in a Marae (meeting house) and to partake of a traditional 'Hangi' banquet.

If you prefer outdoor activities, Rotorua is also for you. Set amidst no fewer than 14 lakes and with spectacular forests on your doorstep the city is a Mecca for Walking, Mountain Biking, Trout Fishing, Water sports, Farm Shows (including the renowned 'Agrodome'), Gondola and Luge Rides, 'Zorbing' and much more. Ask us for more information. Canopy Tours is a new attraction offering a 3.5 hour tour in the forest amidst the birds and tree tops – not to be missed.

Rotorua is a beautiful city to explore in its’ own right, a fact recognised by being acknowledged as New Zealand's most Beautiful City for 3 years in a row. The Government Gardens are a pleasure to walk through.
